Have you ever heard someone say, "I'd rather take a beating than go to the dentist."? That was me several years ago. I had a terrible childhood accident that left me without a front tooth. I was very upset and self conscious of my smile. My teeth did move over, but I still hid my smile behind my hand. Because of this, smiles were the thing I noticed most about people.
I continued going to the dentist and eventually overcame my fears. Then, Dr. Lewis and her staff began talking about how smiles can be changed. Of course my curiosity was piqued! She and her staff explained how the process would be done and answered all my questions. I began to plan out my treatment so that I could have the smile that I always dreamed of having.
I let Dr. Lewis create a smile for me, but did not tell anyone I was doing it. Finally, my new smile was complete! At a family gathering, my brother kept looking at me and smiling. He finally said, "I just noticed that you have a pretty smile!" Boy, did that make my day!!
